My daughter will not be 16 until 5 days after prom this year. I don’t have
a problem with her going. Is it such a big deal (a few days like that?) to

Your
bishop undoubtedly knows you and your daughter. He is acquainted with the local
circumstances and he is entitled to inspiration and revelation from the Lord to
give council and advice to the members of his Ward. I think that you could do
nothing better than to discuss this matter with him and demonstrate your faith
and acceptance of priesthood authority by supporting whatever decision that he
would make in the matter.
