Dear Gramps, Does the earth rotate around the sun, or is it the other way around??? My physics teacher asked for a list of reasons why I believed one way or the other.  I said that I believed our solar system was heliocentered, not geocentered, but I didn't have much luck in finding reasons to back up my belief.  I looked in the encyclopedia, but it didn't recognize the word "helio", and I looked through several web pages about space programs and educational programs about our solar system, but none seemed to have the answer I was looking for.  Can you help?? love, Ashley. Dear gramps, I have in my work some good friends who are always insistent on facts when I share various gospel messages with them. I regularly share with them our belief that faith is needed. My wife and I have been watching on telly a program on dinosaurs. Of course this question came up in work. Have any of the brethren elaborated on when they existed? Many thanks.... Dear Gramps, My family and I are studying some history in school. We are confused how the scientific things like carbon dating, dinosaurs, age of mountain ranges, cavemen, etc. fit into scripture stuff like the creation and Adam and Eve. How old is the Earth according to scripture? Only a few thousand years old? Then how can there be dinosaurs and cavemen who lived millions of years ago?  Please help! We're confused. Thanks, Aubrey, from Oregon [answer]
