Dear
Gramps, Thank you for following up (moral attitude toward girls). The
problem is I am not a Christian, will I still be allowed to do so. I live in
Calcutta, India. Waiting for your reply. Piyush |
Dear
Piyush,
I’m
sure that the members of the LDS Church in Calcutta would welcome a person such
as yourself, regardless of his religious beliefs, and I have no doubt that you
will find there people of uniformly high moral standards, who honor womanhood
and respect all people as children of God, with divine potential.
The
Church is not fully developed yet in India so it is administered as a mission
field with Districts and Branches rather than fully developed Stakes and Wards.
Local congregations are called either branches or wards. The mission
headquarters in India are in Bangalore, about 1000 miles away, but there is a
Branch of the Church in Calcutta. The name of the president of the Branch is
Tapash Chattergee, and the address of the chapel is Rd-2 Flat #2, Sector 3,
Calcutta 700091.
