Gramps,
Were Adam and Eve created in the Garden of Eden or were they created
somewhere else and then placed in the garden? If they were created somewhere
else, where was it? Thank you. Linda, from Utah |

Subject: how and
when did Adam get the priesthood? quandary - Elder
Hales says Adam and Eve were sealed in the garden, which, I would think, would
mean that he first received the priesthood. But it also appears that he wasn't
baptized (again??) until he had grandchildren (Moses
5:1-12; 6:51-53,64-67) So, Gramps, do we have a
chicken and egg problem here? Did Adam get the priesthood before baptism?

Hi Gramps, I have
a 2 part question...Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons? And, since belly
buttons are in fact a scar, are we going to have belly buttons after the
resurrection? Just curious. Silas in Payson, Utah

Dear Gramps,
I have a question for you. In Moses 3:21 it says that God put Adam to
sleep, took a rib and closed the flesh back up and yet President Kimball has
said that the rib thing is symbolism. I am having a problem with this since it
sounds so clear in the scriptures. I must be missing something. Can you
explain it? Sandra

Hi Gramps,
I was just reading through your page, which I enjoyed, and I was
interested by the statement from Brigham Young about Adam being brought here
from another world. I've read it before in Discourses of Brigham Young and
Skousens First 2000 Years, but I have also read statements to the contrary,
i.e. Joseph Fielding Smith is quite adamant in Doctrines of Salvation that
Adam was literally made from the dust of THIS earth.
How are these two completely different views to be reconciled? How do we
explain when two prophets of God contradict each other on what should be a
relatively straight-forward issue? And are there any sources other than
Brigham Young that give evidence for the extraterrestrial transplantation
argument? Thanks Dave,
England
